In the evening of June 5, 2014, the Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent, Écorce and Hansen received some big news: we have been awarded the Grand Prix (not the car race) Strat in the category of Meilleure utilisation de l’événementiel dans une initiative marketing, awarded by the Association des professionnels de la communication et du marketing (APCM)!
The SDBSL has collaborated with the creative team of Écorce and the public relations firm Hansen with the aim of improving Saint-Laurent Boulevard’s image. That work partly resulted in the launch of our new website, which you have most likely heard of!
Specifically, the award emphasizes the event driven strategy that SDBSL has recently revisited which heavily focused on the MURAL Festival, as well as Grand Prix Weekend, Mix’Arts Festival, public pianos, the parklet and yoga in the park. Through the artistic and cultural mandate of these events, the strategy is to position the Saint-Laurent Boulevard as a modern and creative beacon – which in fact it is!
The category in which we won our prize recognizes a company’s sponsorship activation contribution throughout an event or the creation of an event, with the goal of supporting an advertiser’s communication-marketing business strategy and to value its best practices. It is a great honor to see that the event driven strategy developed in collaboration with Écorce and Hansen was recognized in such a significant manner.
