GRILL SAINT-LAURENT

What makes you think more of Montreal summers than BBQs, terraces and festivals? Perhaps all these three things on Montreal’s The Main.

You’re in luck because we actually have an event that will combine all of this:  the very first edition of Grill Saint-Laurent! From June 8th to the 10th, as part of the MURAL Festival, the boulevard’s restaurant owners will prepare exclusive BBQ dishes – all available for $5!

On the Monday and Tuesday, p [...]

The Inside Out project, created in 2011 by the international artist JR, arrives on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard as part of the MURAL Festival!

Presented by 1MTL, more than 600 portraits of Montrealers will be affixed on the boulevard’s pavement. And since it will be closed to traffic for 11 days, it will be the perfect occasion to enjoy the results.

Inside Out has already taken life in major cities around the world (see [...]

SPRING CLEANING ON THE BOULEVARD

It took long for spring to arrive in Montreal this year, but now that it’s finally here, the Saint-Laurent Boulevard will be a true beauty!

On Sunday May 24th at 9am (postponed to the 31st in case of rain), we will hold the first official spring cleaning of the Main. We will have an enhanced cleaning crew that will clean the sidewalks. In addition, a company will be hired to clean storefronts vandalized by graffiti. Thereafter, we will install art work in the form of anti-graffiti vinyl created by Ricardo C [...]

PARKLET

Returning for the 3rd year on the Main, the parklet will be installed as of May 18th! You’ll find it on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard at the intersection of Bagg Street – right next to Bains Schubert.

Because we love urban art, we of course decided to paint it and it is Montreal artist Beeforeo who will be in charge of the art work. The unique design will convince you to stay a little longer to enjoy your lunch, an ice cream or a coffee purchased in the area.

This is a [...]

BOOTCAMP IN THE PARK

Although any form of exercise is good for you, recent studies have shown that vigorous exercise, the type that makes you sweat and leaves you out of breath, has the most beneficial effects on your health.

You’re in luck because we have the perfect activity for you: we are organizing, in collaboration with the boulevard’s

WHERE TO WATCH THE XLIX SUPER BOWL ON SAINT-LAURENT

Whether for the sporting event itself or anything else that surrounds it, the Super Bowl always attracts an enormous audience!

But where to watch this huge event in order to really enjoy it? The answer seems simple enough, if you want our opinion: at a bar on the Main!

Here are our top 5 best places to proclaim your enthusiasm, laugh at the funniest commercials and watch the highly anticipated Katy Perry show (with Lenny Kravitz!) at half-time!

NUIT BLANCHE ON THE BOULEVARD

For the Nuit Blanche, the Saint-Laurent Boulevard is collaborating with the MURAL Festival to offer you a guided tour like you’ve never seen before!

We are offering three guided tours at night (of course!) to discover the murals in a different light. We have of course selected the best person to lead the tours: André Bathalon – co-founder of the festival and Director of Communications and not to mention connoisseur of urban art! Glenn Castanheira, General Manager of the SDBSL, will also be present to share historical facts during the route.

But that’s not all! [...]

This means even more activities than last year. More entertainment, more music and of course, more time to stroll the Main which will be closed to traffic for the duration of the festiv [...]
