The black carpet awaits you! The 5th edition of the Mascara & Popcorn film festival will take place from Thursday, August 4th to Sunday, August 17th.
Mascara & Popcorn can be found at the intersection of the visual, the auditive, the intellect and the emotional. The festival goes through the grim, the subversive, the poetic, the experimental and the visual transgression to provide a result that is a mixture of horror, comedy and entertainment.
What is Mascara & Popcorn exactly?
Beyond a festival that celebrates independent short films, it is also a contest where all these works are evaluated by a prestigious jury of filmmakers, industry members and indie world champions. In addition, this year, the president of Mascara & Popcorn is none other than Mitch Davis, festival co-director and international programming co-director of the Fantasia International Film Festival!
