It’s not Cinéma L’Amour that’s turning 100 years old on October 15th (let’s take it easy!), but the building in which it is located. And even if it bears no relation, we still find it interesting to mention that, among the different theaters that have occupied the place, it is the Pussycat that gave it its sexual calling…in 1969! Things like this can’t be made up.
Cinéma L’Amour opened its doors in 1981 – that’s more than 30 years ago! It is incidentally erotic and pornographic movies that have allowed theaters like this one to stay open when television made its appearance in homes (that’s far back, is it not?).
What makes Cinéma L’Amour unique is its old 1914 look, which has hardly changed. You can see what the inside of Cinéma L’Amour looks like in this video:
The bravest of you may challenge yourselves to discover the place (for its historic charm, of course), with the soundtrack of a pornographic movie.
We want to get to know your stories from Cinéma L’Amour!
A little too chicken to visit it in real life? You can always do it virtually with everyone’s best friend: Google!
