The Inside Out project, created in 2011 by the international artist JR, arrives on the Saint-Laurent Boulevard as part of the MURAL Festival!
Presented by 1MTL, more than 600 portraits of Montrealers will be affixed on the boulevard’s pavement. And since it will be closed to traffic for 11 days, it will be the perfect occasion to enjoy the results.
Inside Out has already taken life in major cities around the world (see the map here) and we are very happy that the Montreal installation will be done on the Main, because nothing represents more Montreal!
With this project, 1MTL wants to show that our cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic differences do not divide us, but rather they enrich us.
You can find the portraits in two places: on part of Guilbault Street West and on the west side of the boulevard, between Mont-Royal and Marie-Anne.
