    SAMAIN – HALLOWEEN ON THE MAIN

    Halloween is most likely the most original and unique celebration of the year and this is why the Saint-Laurent Boulevard decided to celebrate it in style!

    The boulevard presents the first edition of Samain – Halloween on the Main!

    Inspired by a Gaelic festival celebrating the beginning of the dark season (we know that well in Montreal), we await you at the Parc des Amériques on the 30th and 31st of October for a unique witches market.

    Come by the market to get your fortune told, become a part of the witches cult through the ritual of henna tattoo and channel your inner Harry Potter to create your own unique magic wand!

    Here is the detailed schedule of activities including their location:

    On the boulevard

    Prepare your scary costumes and come trick or treat on the boulevard between Sherbrooke and Mont-Royal – the businesses have all sorts of special treats awaiting you!

    Friday and Saturday: according to the opening hours of the business

    At Parc des Amériques

    The Parc des Amériques will be transformed into an artistic witches market and enchanted forest. Come purchase all the potions you’ll need for the year, visit our herbal specialist or get all the supplies you need at the taxidermist.

    The host of the event, the beautifully terrifying Queen Witch, will welcome you with candy and treats upon your arrival. To entertain her guests, she has invited a mystical nomad trapper who comes from deep in the enchanted forest and will bring to life the unbelievable stories of the unknown lands. She also has a very special guest she convinced to leave Transylvania in order to participate in her annual gathering. You won’t want to miss the unique perfomance Dracula has prepared for you!

    – Witches market
    Friday and Saturday: 3pm to 9pm

    – Storytelling
    Friday: 5pm and 7pm
    Saturday: 3pm, 5pm and 7pm
    *The stories will be in French only.

    – Performance by Dracula
    Friday: 8pm
    Saturday: 6pm and 8pm

    At Cinéma Excentris

    To keep the dread alive on the boulevard, Excentris will offer a special showing of scary movies:

    – Scream at 9pm
    – From Dusk Till Dawn at 11:15pm
