« HÉROS DE KARAOKÉ » PILOT PROJECT

The initial announcement of the project has already made some noise some time ago, but here are the details of the outdoor karaoke pilot project: the Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent, in collaboration with the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, presents Héros de Karaoké, an initiative of Frédérik Nissen and Sport agency!

This outdoor family event will take place on Saturdays, September 27th, October 4th and 11th at Parc du Portugal from 2pm to 6pm and will be animated by the one and only Ben Henri, karaoke animator of Astral 2000. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday.

It is the perfect opportunity to mix popular culture, meeting and expression, by contributing to both the cultural and social buzz of the neighbourhood… all while having fun, of course!

As we mentioned, this is a pilot project so we invite you to share with us any comments that may improve the event.

Whether you like to sing or whether you are shy, we suggest you to bring a blanket to sit on, some snacks to munch on and to share your good mood!

Even if you are not going to sing in front of everyone, we are willing to bet that you will secretly sing with the participants.

In parallel with this event, a web documentary entitled Héros de Karaoké will air on TV5.ca starting October 15th. This series will pay tribute to the men and women with hidden talents; to the heroes whose fascinating and free performances will roam the bars, all while entertaining and moving their customers.

You can find their brand new Facebook page right here and if you want to follow them on Twitter, then click here

Update: the Plateau mayor, Luc Ferrandez, has agreed to sing during the event! As of Wednesday September 17th, go on the Héros de karaoké Facebook page (link in previous paragraph) and share the song you think he should sing.
