SAINT-LAURENT PUBLIC PIANO

SAINT-LAURENT PUBLIC PIANO

Although the project “Piano publics de Montréal” is growing from year to year (throughout the city, but also across Quebec!), we still have the chance to have one on the Main!

As of Monday July 6th, the piano can be found at the intersection of Prince-Arthur, and will then be moved at Parc des Amériques (corner Rachel) on August 3rd.

Whether you are a virtuoso, whether you like to fiddle around or want to introduce your kids, do not hesitate to stop at the piano (however, it will be closed and covered on days when rain is announced) and share your talent with the passersby – it’s there for exactly that!

To start off the season, we welcome Amylie on Friday, July 24th from 5pm to 7pm!

The young Quebec singer is well known for her song “Les filles”, from her album Le Royaume which you can stream here to get to know her songs before the show.

She also has a brand new song that just came out, “Que je m’envole”, which you can preview here:

If you like what you’re hearing, we suggest that you 1) listen to more and 2) show up at the corner of St-Laurent/Prince-Arthur on Friday, July 24th at 5pm!

We will have the pleasure of welcoming her a second time at Parc des Amériques on August 20th at noon for the “Les pianos publics au diapason” event”! She will begin her show by interpreting the song “ La vie en rose” by Edith Piaf (the theme of the event, for her 100th birthday), and then continue for about another hour and a half with her original songs.

So you have a good reason to go out for lunch on this day!
