Summertime on Saint-Laurent
Once again, as it has every year since 1979, Saint-Laurent Boulevard kicks off Montreal’s summer season with fabulous outdoor happenings. The Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent is pleased to present its 2012 events: Grand Prix on the Main from June 7 to 10, The Main Madness from June 14 to 17 and Mix’Arts from August 23 to 26.

Grand Prix on the Main
This year again, come to celebrate the Grand Prix on the Main! Scheduled this summer: 4 days of festivities, terraces open until 3 am and DJs to make you dance until the sun comes up! The STM will provide an exclusive shuttle service that will allow you to cross the whole Saint-Laurent Boulevard for free. The Grand Prix on the Main is from June the 7th until June the 10th, from 10 am to 3 am between Sherbrooke and Des Pins (boulevard closed to traffic for the occasion).

The Main Madness
The Grand Prix on the Main will be only a foretaste of what to expect this summer! From June the 14th to the 17th the Main Madness effervescence will invade the boulevard. This will be the occasion for you to take advantage of a lot of activities on a boulevard reserved for the pedestrians: games for children, shows of independent musicians bands in the context of the Festival St-Ambroise Fringe of Montreal, which will take place at Parc des Amériques. On top of that, for the first time during the Main Madness, a dance rally, called “Dansons sur la Main”, will be organised. This rally will enable you to initiate yourself for free, to several types of dance taught on the boulevard! Let’s dance during the Main Madness!

The Mix’Arts
An event not to be missed by the artists and their public, the Mix ‘Arts will offer you countless shows, music and artistic performances! From august the 23th to august the 26th, let’s finish summer on a high note on the Main!
